How to change the development Server as a production Server.
Hi All,
I am having one Production server and one development Server.Now some situation came from hardware vendor so i need to all the data from Production server transfer to Development Server and now onwards that development server will act like a production server.After transfer all the data that production server will be not exist in future.
Please suggest me your valuable opinion on this issue.

AIF - Date effective framework in Document Services
Hi
I am having an issue with the date effective framework when querying the HCM module by calling the standard document service HCMWorkerImportService.
The query AxdWorkerImport contains the HcmEmployment table but as you know this is controlled by the ValidFrom and ValidTo dates automatically.
The process at my customer is to hire employee with future employment which seems to be the normal thing to do. How ever calling the Read operation on these new employee will not return any data for HcmEmployment and its sub-data sources.
Normal workaround on queries are to add something like: query.validTimeStateAsOfDate(date) but is that possible in AIF?
If any has had this problem or perhaps see a way out of this, please respond. But I do not need to be told to make my own Custom service. I know this is a solution and gives me plenty of control and I wish the solution was based on a custom service. But at the moment this is not an option.

Difference in net amount and unit price
Dear All,
We have a very rare issue found in our system where a user has entered a sales order with a quantity and have entered the unit price and posted the invoice.
Now if we check the invoice the net amount which should be equal to the quantity multiplied by unit price is not matching.
Example:
Standard Scenario: Sales Order:
Line 1
Item A Quantity 100 Unit Price 10 Net Amount 10000
Issue:
Sales Order
Line 1
Item A Quantity 100 Unit Price Net Amount 10010
How is this possible

Automatic Purchase Order After Purchase Requisition
Hi All,
my client wants to use PO & PR Workflow in same time.
i had created both workflow.
and he need automatically creation of PO from once PR Approved.
So i setup automatic creation of po once PR Approved through purchase policy and batch job, it is working fine but problem is once PR Approved PO Is creating with Approved Status.
if we wants run PO workflow it should be with DRAFT Status.
So Please Help Me to solve this issue.
For Manual Creation of Purchase Order after completion of Purchase Requisition it is working fine -- small customization

In purchase Requisition in setup policies they have given option as
Automatically Create Purchase Order
then in Periodic - Batch Purchase Order Generation from there Batch Job setup is done
and After approved status of Purchase Requisition only the batch job runs and purchase order is created and after succesful creation of purchase requisition The status of purchase requisition is changed to Closed Status..which means Purchase Order is created as per my knowledge
After successful creation of purchase order the status of purchase order is coming as Approval.we want to customize as Draft

Running a job automatically
Hi all, I'm kinda new to this, but I wrote a job that automatically goes through the Sales Table and sends emails. I would like to run it automatically every night. Do I need to convert it into a class in order to use the batch functionality in AX 2009, or is there any way that I can keep it as a job?

Dynamics AX7 Webservice authentification
Hey,
I created a simple webservice in ax that returns a string. The WSDL is available. Now Iam trying to consume this webservice via a C# program.
I used this guide: https://ax.help.dynamics.com/en/wiki/dynamics-ax-7-services-technical-concepts-guide/ and the following code samples: https://github.com/Microsoft/Dynamics-AX-Integration/tree/master/ServiceSamples/SoapConsoleApplication
The Problem is that we are using the contoso image for developing. Is there any way for a simple authentification without the Azure Active Directory?
We don't have this option right now but we need to test the services.

I have some classes written in AX 2012 R3. I want to migrate these classes to AX7 or D365.
Do we have any tool which can migrate and create xml based classes for AX7

Consuming External WCF services in AX7
For Dynamics AX To Talk to one of product in our product suite, to keep the data in sync within our product ecosystem, We are making use of a Service Reference added to the Project and trying to get authorization token back from external system (SIS) and trying to push some data.
Here we are using the below Integration Service
And we are trying to generate the in message assign values against each contracts and pushing it to external system(SIS).
And we are getting back the error message “object reference not set to an instance of object”
While we see the WCF trace as well we get the same message.
While checking on the system in which we are trying to push data, in event viewer we are getting the below error specifies about the contract filter mismatch
We tried to push the same data using WCF Storm and its getting inserted properly.
Even on a console Application we create a new Service reference and Try calling the service using a C# project it works fine. Only when we call from Dynamics AX its giving a ContractFilterMissMatch error.
Any help would be Helpful.

Not get data from WCF Service
Hi all,
I use X++ to create Service in AX to get data from AX, but when deploy I've got a problem that:
I can get data from services that get data from table object exist in AX 2009
but I can't get data from services that get data from table object (tables was created when upgrade from AX 2009 to AX 2012), it hasn't got error from service but data always return 0 items object
In detail action:
In development environment, I'm coding completely in AX 2012 so that services run completely OK
when deploy to production environment, I export axmodel file from AX 2012 in dev environment then use axmodel to import to pro environment
Can anyone help me to show problem in this scenario ? what's different from here ?

Problems with Help System and LCS
Hi,
Since a CU3 we have problems with a Dynamics 365 for operations Installation. Wenn we try to set up the Help System as described here

We get the warning: Unable to View details, no form exists for table 'SysLCSProject'.
And error: Invalid OAuth token was presented.
So no help libraries could be loaded to be selected for the help System.
Have anyone an idea of what could be the cause?

Dynamics 365 licensing - equivalent of AX 2012 "Functional" license ?
I have some users that will use AX in a very limited way. For example : only maintening products, only creation purchase orders etc.. In the previous approach, it was possible to set a functional license to address that requirement. I didn't find equivalent on Dynamics 365. Could you help ?

We imported a new lable file after renamed it from AxSYSen-us.ald to AxSYSxx-xx.ald. The import has been successfully completed but we are unable to locate any new language to Administration--> setup -->system parameters.

Run a class when a file is created in a folder
How is it possible to make a function in Ax 4.0 that will monitor a local Windows folder and run a class when a new file is detected inside this folder?
I'm unable to find anything that will guide me in the right direction, using Google and forum searches, when it comes to X++ and in particular the older Ax 4.0 my customer is running.
Background for this issue is that we recieve a xml file from a web front end and need to create a quotation based on this file. The class reading the xml file and creating a quotation is already up and running in Ax 4.0, but for now I need to manually trigger the class to run.

Time limit for confirming quotation
Hello to All,
I have One recruitment That to Create the batch Job..when the customer create the lines sales quotation i have to put the time limit of 10 minutes in it..if the customer not confirmed the sales quotation with in 10 minutes then the block inventory will release if it not confirmed the sales quotation ....
Any help will be appreciated.

Dynamics 365 licensing Team Members or Operations Device ?
Hi,
In case of users accessing Dynamics 365 through a custom web portal in order to read information in the ERP (technically AX web services consumed by the custom web site), do I need to set Team Members license or an Operations Device SL ? In an AX web service context, it's possible to send user credentials or stay anonymous, is there an impact on the way we have to set licenses ?
