Calling a form datasource method in d365

Hi All,

i need to call form datasource method in event handler method.

[FormDataSourceEventHandler(formDataSourceStr(SalesTable, SalesLine), FormDataSourceEventType::Activated)]

i found the following error

Reading input files from an FTP server

We have a third party who sends data input files (csv) to an FTP server. I want to connect to the FTP server, read the data from the files, and import to the appropriate tables in D365 FO. The hurdle I'm not sure how to clear is connecting to the FTP server and reading the data in the files. Is anyone aware of how I could do this?

Hi,

i want to design a form which basically handle all the report properties i.e Textbox size, font, alignment, font bold, Latin etc. How can i achieve this? Any idea or anyone who has done it before. Kindly share here or solution.

Hi all!

I unsuccessfully try to write into Excel file, which was loaded as resource.

When I try create and modify new Excel file it works fine. But when I try to use stream from resource as it described here https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/33/t/273092 , nothing happens: I get file with no changes. What is wrong?

Hi, I am getting the following exception "A disk error occurred during a write operation. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8003001D (STG_E_WRITEFAULT))" while i am trying to read a stream. I got the exception at the Line which is having read font. Can any one help me out?

List Custom Objects within D365FO

I have been tasked with coming up with a way to report on all custom objects (tables, menu items, data entities, service operations, classes, roles, duties, privileges) within a D365FO environment. I thought I had a viable solution with the following:

1) Since Microsoft is sealing all base models, we can determine that all customizations must occur within a model within the ISV layer or above (layer 8 or above), so step 1 is generating this list of models.

2) Take this list of models, and get all objects within these models

The above method works great for customizations made in the environment itself but the ListObjectsWithModificationInfo call will return a blank list if ran against a module from an ISV/3rd party (or any code) that was deployed via deployable package.

Is there any way using the above method to get this information, or can anyone think of another way to get this information?

Steps to get this issue are as follows:

Under Data Management Workpace, when you go in Configure entity to export to Database
Click publish and then select target entity as - customers
then when you click "change tracking" then "enable entire entity"
I get the following error:

Solution I tried is to overlay sub entities and and set the data management property and in public property to yes, when i build the solution i still get 13 errors, which I am unable to resolve.

Also what are your inputs whether I should use Odata instead of DMF?

I am having difficulty in finding why my ports are going in fault state and the message in AIFQueuemanager is also stuck in error state.

here is the description:

ports using MSMQ as adaptor come into “Fault” states with following errors exception mentioned in problem record due some communication break with MSQM service on prod.

Error :

The request failed with the following error: There was no endpoint listening at net.tcp://semo01axaos38.santamaria.lan:8201/DynamicsAx/Services/AAFProductionReport that could accept the message.

how to correct it using batch job as user do not want to resolve it manually?

Dear All,

We have one Customized BOM Report. In one query, we are taking values from table InventSum, making ranges of fields Closed=0, and ClosedQty=0. That is working fine.

But if i remove the ranges or updating like Closed in (0,1) and ClosedQty in (0,1), report is not loading in ax 2012.

I tried the same query in SQL Server and that is working fine.

Could you please help me to sort this out?

User Setup Form - Remove Buttons

When displaying the User Setup box on a form (right click - Setup) I want to be able to hide the button on the right hand side and leave the Reset (j) button only

Currently, users with access to the Setup option can use all the buttons. But we do not wih them to be able to Load, Save or Retrieve from User

Any Advice would be gratefully received

I keep on getting the below error when the project builds using the CI build server with Azure DevOps, I was able to resolve it by commenting out the "GlobalSection(SolutionConfigurationPlatforms) = preSolution" and "GlobalSection(SolutionProperties) = preSolution" in the solution file. But this is not the solution since this workaround affects the developers trying to get updates from the repo.

I would like to know why i create the sales order with item and save it. It shows an error "Product "xxxx" is on hold". Where can i set this product to disable on-hold. I try it to see in inventory management seems nothing there. Do you have any idea?
